Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) is pleased to announce the installation of our new 3T MRI at our East Greenwich and Barrington Medical Center sites.

The 3T MRI system provides the highest resolution images for more accurate interpretations and has a larger opening for greater patient comfort. In addition, most exams are completed faster than on a conventional MRI scanner.

  • Lung Cancer Screening Program - now available at all RIMI locations

Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) is pleased to announce the first comprehensive out-patient lung cancer screening program available in the state of Rhode Island. Highly publicized results from the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST) indicate that lung cancer screenings can detect lung cancers with computed tomography (CT) early enough to reduce lung cancer death rates by about 20%.   • Bone densitometry is now available at our Lincoln office

RIMI is pleased to announce that the convenience of combining bone density screenings and mammograms is now available at our Lincoln facility. Call 401.432.2400 to schedule both exams today.

  • Three-year accreditation awarded for breast MRI

Rhode Island Medical Imaging has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). MRI of the breast offers valuable information about many breast conditions that may not be obtained by other imaging modalities, such as mammography or ultrasound.   • MR Arthrography is now available at our Lincoln office

RIMI is pleased to announce that MR Arthrography is now available at our Lincoln office. This procedure will be performed by one of our musculoskeletal subspecialty-trained radiologists.
