Rhode Island Medical Imaging Celebrates 75th Anniversary with “In Your Neighborhood” Campaign
Four local Rhode Island women featured in new mammogram messaging
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) is celebrating its 75th anniversary by highlighting some of its patients in a grassroots “In Your Neighborhood” campaign. Using billboards, print ads and social media RIMI patients become part of stories that reflect how they have come to rely on RIMI’s network of 12 high-tech medical diagnostic offices.
To kick off the campaign four North Providence women are featured in ads that highlight mammograms. These women rely on RIMI’s 70-plus radiologists, each with their own subspecialty. In this case, it means that only radiologists who have special training in reading mammograms read their mammograms.
RIMI employs radiologists from every subspecialty of diagnostic imaging including vascular interventional radiology, cross sectional imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology imaging, breast imaging, body imaging, women’s imaging and more.
“As the largest private radiology practice in the state, RIMI is dedicated to providing patients with the most accurate imaging reads,” said Dr. John Pezzullo, Rhode Island Medical Imaging’s president. “RIMI radiologists also hold positions at many of Rhode Island’s hospitals and are regularly providing their professional diagnostic opinion to patients from Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Women & Infants, Miriam Hospital, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center.”
RIMI’s “In Your Neighborhood” will also be highlighting three generations of one family that have been using RIMI’s services over the decades. Patients from East Greenwich and Pawtucket will also appear in future “In Your Neighborhood” campaigns.
“My family and I have been going to RIMI since around 2005 and we know that the care we get there is unmatched,” said Gina Zanni, a RIMI patient who is featured in the North Providence mammogram campaign.
“Since 1943 RIMI has been providing high quality imaging services to Southern New Englanders,” said Dr. Pezzullo. “RIMI is proud to have reached this significant 75th anniversary milestone, and we look forward to serving the evolving needs of Rhode Island families for many years to come.”
